Valeo is upgrading its presence in Nanjing. On May 22, the company signed an agreement to establish the Valeo Powertrain China Headquarters—a strategic transformation that reinforces Nanjing’s global pull in the automotive and EV component space.

Attended by Mayor Chen Zhichang and Xavier Dupont, Valeo’s SVP and Powertrain CEO, the signing signals more than expansion—it’s consolidation, innovation, and leadership.
Since 2006, Valeo has built out five key entities in Nanjing, spanning R&D and production of core components like manual clutches and electric drive systems.
The new headquarters facility will consolidate management, R&D, finance, HR, and sales functions under one roof while overseeing nationwide production and R&D operations.
Nanjing isn’t just part of the supply chain—it’s becoming the control tower.
