The State Council of China formally approved the establishment of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area on June 27, 2015,. Since then, the construction of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area has been upgraded to a national strategy and has become the thirteenth state-level new area in Jiangsu Province in China.

The new area achieved a total industrial output value of 239 billion yuan from January to September this year, an increase of 6.5% from the second quarter; fixed asset investment of the whole society was 55.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%; the per capita disposable income of urban households exceeded 61,000 yuan , an increase of 18.6% compared to when the new district was established.

Centering on the strategy of “3 districts and 1 platform” and the positioning of the leading industry of “two cities and one center” since the establishment of the new district,, the Jiangbei New District’s regional GDP, general public budget revenue, and social fixed investment have doubled; integrated circuits attract upstream and downstream 300 enterprises have settled in the complete industrial chain, with an output value exceeding 50 billion yuan.
