Covering an area of 28 square kilometers, Nanjing Yuhua Economic and Technological Development Zone is located in the west of Yuhuatai District, Nanjing. It is closely connected to the Hexi New City and is the only development zone in Nanjing which is connected to the main urban area. The Zone was established on October 16, 2000. In 2002, it was approved as a municipal and provincial industrial park. In 2006, The Zone was declared and approved as a provincial economic and technological development zone and its name was officially verified.

The Zone has formed a new industrial layout led by “advanced manufacturing represented by electronic information, cultural creativity, productive services”, other scientific researches/ developments and headquarters economy industries.
