Nanjing Lukou International Airport currently hosts 52 airlines and operates 12 international and regional all-cargo routes. Its cargo throughput surpassed 100,000 metric tons in 2025, hitting a record high. With the ongoing Phase Ⅲ expansion of Lukou Airport and the construction of the Ningxuan High-Speed Railway and Ningzhenyangma Intercity Railway, Nanjing is developing an integrated air-rail multimodal transport network. This enhanced connectivity will significantly reduce cross-border logistics costs and streamline supply chain cycles, providing a robust foundation for the high-end, cluster-based growth of aviation-related industries.
The three new routes connecting Nanjing with Busan, Tashkent and Bengaluru further expand air connectivity with Northeast, Central and South Asia.
