The 2025 China Urban Talent Attractiveness Rankings are in—and Nanjing ranks 7th nationwide, thanks to a consistent net talent inflow and high-growth industrial momentum.

Between 2020 and 2024, Nanjing maintained a 0.7%–1% net inflow of talent, backed by strong policy incentives and thriving high-end industries. In 2024 alone, the city created 219,000 new urban jobs.

Nanjing’s “2+6+6” innovation-driven industrial clusters span cutting-edge fields like AI and semiconductors, linking R&D with real-world application. In 2024, high-tech industries accounted for 50.7% of all large-scale industrial output—driving demand for high-potential talent.

From the “NingJu Plan” in 2018 to today’s full-chain talent service strategies, Nanjing continues to turn strategic policy into long-term opportunity.
