As 2026 starts, a Jinpeng Airlines freighter carrying 106 tonnes of cargo departed from Nanjing Lukou International Airport for Los Angeles, marking the launch of Nanjing’s first new international cargo route of 2026.

The service operates twice weekly, using Boeing 747 or 777 freighters, and primarily transports high-value goods including cross-border e-commerce products, electronics, biopharmaceuticals, and chemical materials.

The Los Angeles route becomes Nanjing’s third stable all-cargo service to the Americas, following Chicago and Mexico City. With this addition, the airport has formed an initial trans-Pacific air cargo network linking East China with major markets across the US East Coast, West Coast, and Latin America.
The route strengthens two-way trade, supporting exports from the Yangtze River Delta while facilitating the import of premium North American seafood and other fresh products into China.
