On October 27, Xuanwu District delivered an investment pitch during the opening ceremony, with a slate of international platforms and cooperative projects launched. The Espresso Academy (China Campus) and the Mediterranean Enterprise China Gateway Shared Service Platform were inaugurated to serve as hubs for exchanges with Europe. Portugal’s Árvore College of Arts and Vocational Training signed an agreement with Nanjing Xuanwu Secondary Vocational School to jointly develop vocational talent training programs.

That afternoon, two European delegations visited Xuzhuang High-Tech Zone and Hongshan New Town. Centered on the Jiangsu International Data Port, Xuzhuang has built a system for the circulation and application of data elements. Its Large Model Factory and Embodied Intelligence Innovation Center deploy AI solutions for industrial and low-carbon use cases. Juan Hernandez, a researcher from Spain, noted that Xuanwu’s approach to AI commercialization offers valuable insights and expressed hopes for joint R&D between teams from China and Europe.

Hongshan New Town hosts flagship international platforms including the Siemens Xcelerator Yangtze River Delta Innovation Hub, China Merchants Group Jiangsu Center and the China-Central Asia Trade Facilitation Platform. Covering industrial AI, green low-carbon development, tech finance and cross-border trade, these entities offer foreign companies full-lifecycle support spanning technical enablement, capital matching and market expansion. An open matchmaking session was held alongside the site visits, where Chinese and European representatives discussed technological innovation, industrial synergy and market expansion to identify suitable partnerships.

On October 28, local Xuanwu firms showcased cutting-edge innovations at the thematic exhibition. Ultra-sensitive sensing devices and “Xiao Zhu”, the world’s first 6G-enabled humanoid robot, drew strong interest from European visitors.
