On May 23, the Germany–Nanjing Open Cooperation Development Conference welcomed German business leaders from Fortune 500s to Hidden Champions, reinforcing Nanjing’s position as a strategic destination for international industry.

Names like BASF, Siemens, Bosch, Phoenix Contact, and Schaeffler have long histories in Nanjing. Today, the city counts 304 German-invested projects, totaling $2.17 billion USD in actual use of capital.

The event delivered meaningful progress: unveiling of the CITIC·Nanjing Co-Creation Service Center; and the signing of 15 new strategic cooperation agreements in advanced tech, digital services, and smart manufacturing—including smart batteries, robotics, and cross-border SME collaboration.
Nanjing isn’t just hosting innovation—it’s co-building it with global partners.
