Co-organized by Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province and China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, Jiangsu-US Business Seminar on Energy Transformation and Green Development was held in Nanjing on July 5.
Representatives from China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, the Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Jiangsu Province and other government departments, US-funded enterprises of ECP, the United States Bay Area Council, the prefectural-level bureau of commerce, development zones, scientific research institutions, and companies participated in this seminar. The seminar discussed the deepening of cooperation between Jiangsu and American companies in energy transformation and development. This forum served as a communication and cooperation platform for both sides to promote the development of energy transformation.
At present, Jiangsu takes promoting energy transformation as its main direction. In 2021, Jiangsu Province will further shut down outdated coal-fired power generation units, and strengthen the promotion of clean energy. United States is Jiangsu’s second largest trade partner. Under the goal of green and low-carbon economic transformation, the two sides have many common interests, and there is bright future of technological innovation and green transformation cooperation.
