Recently, a special action to promote the facilitation of cross-border trade in 2023 was launched by six ministries and commissions including the General Administration of Customs of the PRC and 17 key port cities will carry out pilot projects. Nanjing is successfully selected as the pilot cities for the special action to promote high-level opening-up and usher in new opportunities. It is reported that the special action will last for five months, mainly including 19 measures in 5 aspects.
In 2022, Nanjing cross-border e-commerce import and export witness a growth of nearly 20% year-on-year and the business scale accounted for more than 40% of the province. Last year, the number of #CHINA RAILWAY Express in Nanjing has rose to a record level of 311 trains, with a year-on-year increase of 32.79%, strengthening cooperation between countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”.
Since this year, the development of cross-border e-commerce in Nanjing has continued to accelerate, with import and export volume exceeding 7 billion yuan in the first quarter, an increase of about 15% year-on-year. Selected for this special action pilot, will help Nanjing to promote a higher level of opening up to the outside world.
