Singapore-Nanjing Special Projects were Signed  

On May 16th, the 10th Meeting of Singapore-Nanjing Special Projects Cooperation Panel was held in Nanjing. Chen Zhichang, Mayor of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government and Dr. Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State for Manpower, Sustainability and the Environment, made speeches as Co-Chairman of both sides before entering into the fourth MOU and seeing significant projects thereunder signed into agreements.

The panel is an organization set up to further strengthen the comprehensive partnership between Nanjing and Singapore by pushing ahead with bilateral projects. Since the first meeting was held a decade ago in 2013, the two sides have engaged in a complementary partnership which seeks common interests, conducts precise matchmaking and implements practical cooperation with significant success.

Dr. Koh Poh Koon thought highly of the progress in the Singapore-Nanjing cooperation, affirming that the two cities have continued with a growing extension of their partnership since the setup of the panel, a fact demonstrated by the many new fields and projects of cooperation. According to Koh, Singapore will continue increasing support for SNEHTI in the hope that the two sides will push ahead with cooperation in trade & investment, technological innovation, green development, and cultural exchange with increasing achievements beneficial to both.
